Luther College has announced the cancellation of Center Stage Series performance events for the fall 2020 academic semester.

A decision regarding a potential abbreviated Center Stage Series for the spring of 2021 will be announced at a later date.

Director of Campus Programming Kristen Underwood cites public safety during the COVID-19 pandemic and college facilities needs as considerations for the decision. Constructed in 1977, most large-scale campus performance events occur in the centrally-located Center for Faith and Life. “It is one of the largest gathering places at Luther,” says Underwood. “It has become clear that we will need it to remain available as a classroom and lecture hall.”

“Gathering people together for live performing arts experiences is something about which I care deeply,” adds Underwood. “It will be so good to see you again – when the time is right.”
