Renovations complete
Luther College’s Legacy Field is open for business as the Norse football team practiced this week after the installation was completed, providing the Norse with one of the safest and most unique football fields among NCAA Division III institutions. The dedication of Legacy Field is scheduled for noon on Saturday, Sept. 9, followed by a Community Day Picnic. The Norse will open the 2017 home season at 2 p.m. versus St. Olaf College.   • Norse technique wrestling clinic this weekend
    Luther College will be hosting a Funk and Fun technique wrestling clinic Sunday-Tuesday, July 28-30, at the Luther College Regent Center wrestling room in Decorah from 5:30 to 8 p.m.

  • Retired Luther track coach recognized
    The National Collegiate Athletic Association has released the 2018-19 Sportsmanship Award Winners. Among the winners, recently retired Luther College men’s and women’s track and field head coach and assistant professor Jeff Wettach, was named the recipient of the Bob Frederick Sportsmanship Award, the highest recognition of sportsmanship awarded by the organization.

    Luther College, ranked No. 13, has advanced to the round of 16 of the NCAA III Men’s Soccer National Tournament. In the second round Sunday night, the Norse posted a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over the Stars of Dominican University.

  • Norse gridders looking for offensive rhythm

    The University of Dubuque defeated Luther 42-19 at Chalmers Field in Dubuque Saturday afternoon. A combined 48 points were scored in the first two quarters, with the Spartans holding a 38-13 lead at halftime.
