Regents Center Custodian

Luther College is seeking a full-time Regents Center Custodian who will monitor the campus schedule for events that are held at the Regents Center. The custodial staff member maintains building appearance including lobbies, entrances, classrooms, offices, hallways, break rooms, auditoriums, SRC, conference rooms, staircases, restrooms, shower rooms, weight rooms and gymnasium. Hours will typically be 4 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday. High School Diploma and/or equivalent preferred but not required. Training on blood borne pathogens and proper procedure for clean up on hazardous/ infectious materials according to OSHA specifications will be required after hire. Must be able to read sufficiently to follow instructions. Custodial Staff

Custodial staff will maintain building appearance and cleanliness in all areas, including lobbies, entrances, classrooms, offices, hallways, kitchens, conference rooms, staircases, study lounges, restrooms, and shower rooms. Hours will typically be from 7 am to 1 pm Monday through Friday. High School Diploma and/or equivalent preferred but not required. Training on blood borne pathogens and proper procedure for clean up on hazardous/infectious materials according to OSHA specifications will be required after hire. Assistant Director of Facilities

Luther College is seeking an Assistant Director of Facilities to provide leadership, work supervision, and direction to a large group of facilities staff. This position provides support to the daily work of the Facilities team that directly impacts and supports our students, faculty and staff. The position is also the backup to the Director of Facilities Services and acts as department head in their absence. Duties will include recruitment and development of staff, inspection of campus facilities to ensure standards are met, align supplies and equipment to college sustainability initiatives, and management of college rental properties. Baccalaureate degree and a valid driver’s license is required. Qualified applicants will have demonstrated successful experience in leadership and proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse constituencies. Also required is analytical and reasoning skills for evaluation of processes, making judgements, and strategic recommendations as well as interest for environmental sustainability and a passion for the mission of a residential liberal arts college of the church. Position requires 24-hour emergency on-call availability. Weekend Custodian

The Custodial Department at Luther College has an opening for a .75 FTE Weekend Custodian. The Weekend Custodian has the opportunity to interact with students, staff, faculty, and the community on a daily basis. Custodian will support student life as well as events on campus. This role will have access to areas across campus and support the cleaning and sanitation in residence halls as well as academic spaces. Custodian staff assists in maintaining building appearance, which consists of all areas including lobbies, entrances, classrooms, offices, hallways, breakrooms, auditoriums, conference rooms, staircases, study lounges, restrooms, and shower rooms. Typical work schedule is Thursday and Friday from noon to 6:30pm and Saturdays and Sundays 6am to 3:30pm. Must be able to work with little supervision, complete work thoroughly and promptly, and be self-motivated. High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
