Human Resources Specialist

Luther College is seeking a full-time Human Resources Specialist to contribute to its HR program. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Specialist will focus on managing employee recruitment, onboarding, and engagement initiatives. The Specialist will have the opportunity to grow in collaboration with the Director and Assistant Director into areas such as employee benefits, compensation, and employee relations. Minimum one-year human resources or comparable experience is required along with proficiency with a wide range of computer software tools, including G-Suite, Microsoft Office, and database software. Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred. Experience in recruitment and onboarding programs, implementing employee engagement programs, SHRM-CP, PHR, or aPHR certification, and proficiency with the applicant tracking functions of an HRIS system is strongly preferred. Luther College offers an excellent benefit package including generous employer retirement contributions, competitive health insurance premiums, short and longterm disability, life insurance, and tuition benefits for employee, spouse, and dependents. FT High School Special Education Teacher

Crossroads Academy in Decorah, IA

Crossroads Academy is a K-12 alternative day school providing specialized instruction that supports academic and behavioral needs in a strength-based individualized classroom environment. Crossroads Academy in Decorah, IA is seeking a full-time High School Special Education Teacher to begin in January 2023. We are seeking skilled, empathic, collaborative educators to provide instruction and behavioral support in conjunction with students IEP Goals and Individual Behavior Plan. This includes maintaining a safe, supportive trauma-informed classroom setting which employs trauma-invested strategies promoting student growth, healing, and the development of healthy relationships with all students and staff.

Experience/Education: Minimum of a college degree from an accredited college or university with certification in areas of specialization from the state you will be working in (this may be provisional certification). Prior experience in a structured setting supervising and/or instructing children/adolescents strongly desired.

Requirements: Must have an Iowa teaching license or be eligible to secure an Iowa teaching license.
