Housing Coordinator

Luther College seeks applications for a full-time Housing Coordinator. The Housing Coordinator serves as the office manager for the Residence Life Office and works cooperatively with the Director of Residence Life. The Coordinator interacts extensively with a wide range of constituencies including students, parents, faculty, staff members, and off-campus clientele. The Housing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the office to ensure an efficient, effective, and pleasant delivery of services to meet student and staff needs related to residence life and housing activities. In addition, the Housing Coordinator works directly with student housing accommodations, student room and board billing, and occupancy reporting. High School Diploma is required along with at least three years of relevant work experience or combination of education and experience. Also required is experience using Word and Excel. The position required well-developed management skills. Must be highly organized, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and possess effective time management skills. Must be able to work respectfully with a wide range of constituencies and sensitive and confidential information. Heating Plant Lead Boiler Operator

 Luther College seeks applications for a full-time Heating Plant Lead Boiler Operator. The Boiler Operator will operate and provide management of the other operators at the Luther College Heating Plant. Operator will complete this work in such a manner as to provide a constant uninterrupted supply of steam to the Luther campus in a safe method to insure to all Luther College personnel, students and visitors. Responsibilities will include maintaining a systematic preventive maintenance program and scheduled replacement of equipment, tools and vehicles necessary for performance of the heating plant, maintaining all records, and supervising plumber and boiler operator staff. High School Diploma is required along with mechanical or electrical background. Must hold or be able to obtain Boiler Operator 1 certificate, Certified Pool Operators certificate, and State of Iowa Private School or College Routine Maintenance Specialty License (each can be obtained through Luther) Also required is at least five years’ experience with boiler room operations, computer skills for spreadsheets, monitoring computerized building automation system and the college’s web-based work order system and a valid driver license. Rotating weekend and on-call work will be required. Workstation Support Specialist

Luther College is currently accepting applications for a full-time Workstation Support Specialist. The Workstation Support Specialist participates on the User Services and Workstation Support teams within Information Technology Services (ITS) to support, maintain, monitor, update, troubleshoot and repair desktop computer systems, software and applications. Baccalaureate degree is required along with skill and experience using and troubleshooting standard operating systems, productivity suites, printing, and audio visual/equipment. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills are also required.
