HELP WANTED: Temporary Work – 15 Job Openings Starting: 03/15/2018 and ending: 01/15/2019 - We need seasonal employees during our pheasant season starting in March and ending in January. The egg laying season starts in March and runs until July. During this time, employees will collect eggs and walk the pheasant pens (outside and inside)and bend over to pick up eggs. They will collect the eggs and put it in trays. Starting in August employees will need to catch birds by their feet, with nets or by hand. The pheasants will need to be placed in crates and prepared for shipment. Employees will need to be physically fit, must be able to lift 50 lbs or more, work in all weather conditions, able to walk 10 miles per day, able to bend over continuously and no fear of birds. Require 3 months’ experience and a high school diploma or GED. The employer, MacFarlane Pheasants, Inc. from Janesville, WI will pay the adverse effect wage rate of $13.06/hr. The employer guarantees ¾ of the workdays in the work contract.The work tools, supplies and equipment are provided without cost to the worker,if applicable. Free housing is provided to workers who cannot reasonably return to their permanent residence at the end of the workday. Transportation and subsistence expenses to the worksite will be provided or paid by the employer upon completion of50% of the work contract or earlier. Admissions Counselor or Assistant Director of Admissions -  Luther College - is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Admissions Counselor or Assistant Director of Admissions. Primary responsibilities include coordinating the recruitment of students from a specific geographical region,visiting targeted high schools, and attending select college fair programs. Extensive travel is required, and candidates must be able to work evenings and weekends when appropriate. Based on the level of experience of the successful candidate, the title will be either Admissions Counselor or Assistant Director.Candidates should have excellent oral and written communication skills, some computer knowledge, and the ability to make public presentations. Previous experience in admissions or a related field is preferred, and an appreciation for residential, liberal arts colleges would be helpful. A bachelor’s degree is required, and applicants must have a valid driver’s license. Experience in sales, marketing, communication, and education is highly desirable. As an Admissions Counselor, one year of relevant postgraduate experience is recommended.
