The still was reportedly capable of producing upwards of 500 gallons of alcohol per day. Two men and two women were picked up in connection with the raid. All the alcohol and mash were dumped, with the exception of what was necessary to take in for evidence. All the equipment also was destroyed, along with a crude sign, which read, "no trespassing allowed on this farm." The still had been in operation the past six months. Several auto loads of folks from Decorah traveled over to Waukon to view the scene of the outlaw distillery.
