Improvements to an access road at the Decorah Municipal Airport will begin this fall thanks, in part, to a $415,000 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration.

The grant will be used to improve the access road use by passengers to get to the airport west of Decorah.

A portion fo the money from the grant was made available through the CARS Act coronavirus relief package.

Decorah City Manager Chad Bird told Decorah Newspapers the 30-day improvement project is expected begin in late August or September.
