Several hundred people attended the Northeast Iowa March for Science in Decorah Saturday, April 22. The March for Science was the centerpiece activity to Design Your Own Earth Day in Decorah, a day full of community events featuring live entertainment, educational activities and fun ways to support the community and planet. Participants joined millions from around the globe--in 514 locations, including seven in Iowa, celebrating and supporting science. The keynote speaker was Paul Johnson, retired farmer, former director of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, former Iowa legislator and former chief of the United States Department of Agriculture Iowa Natural Resources Conservation Service.
