Emily and Connor.
Emily and Connor.
The parents of Connor Davis Freeman and Emily Caroline Snell are thrilled to announce their children’s engagement and upcoming marriage.

Emily, who usually goes by Caroline, is the only daughter of West Virginian cum North Carolinian Geneva (Ginny) Harlan Snell and North Carolinian Michael Alan Snell, who presently reside in Lake Oswego, Ore.

Emily was born in Atlanta, Ga., but raised primarily in the picturesque Midwestern college town of Oxford, Ohio. She is a member of the Class of 2018.5 at Middlebury College, which sits atop an oak speckled hill in the Champlain Valley of Vermont, where she is pursuing a B.A. in international politics and economics. After graduating, Caroline hopes to attend law school to study for a career as an appellate attorney.

Connor, a native son of Decorah, is the only son of the late Mainer Alison Davis Dwyer and of Texan Philip Mitchell Freeman, who presently resides in Los Angeles County, Calif.

Connor was born in Concord, Mass., and spent the first seven years of his life in St. Louis, Mo., but shall proudly insist that he is an Iowan through-and-through.

He is a member of the Class of 2019, also at Middlebury College, where he is pursuing a B.A. in religious studies. After graduating, Connor hopes to attend divinity and public policy schools to study for a career in ministry and public service.

The adorable, quiet, assuming, dog-obsessed, mocha-addicted, Star Trek-loving, old-at-heart, Midwestern Lutheran couple were engaged at the University Parks of Oxford, England, Oct. 28, 2017, and have plans to be blissfully married here in Decorah in June of 2019.
