The National Weather Service reported Friday morning the combination of snow melt and rainfall has caused flooding along portions of the Upper Iowa and Turkey Rivers and a flood warning remained in effect for Winneshiek County. Some ice jamming remains possible, which could lead to rapid fluctuations in river levels, according to the NWS. The Turkey River was at 12.1 feet Friday morning; flood stage is 9 feet.
