Public input sessions have been scheduled for the planned sidewalk project in Decorah’s Bruening Addition.
Residents are invited to attend one or both sessions to provide their input on the proposed plans. The meetings will be an open house format and an opportunity to visit with city staff and engineers on design concepts and assessment policies involved in the project.
The sessions will be conducted in Decorah City Council chambers at Decorah City Hall on Thursday, May 16, at 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday, May 21, at 5:30 p.m.
The Planning and Zoning Commission, City Council and city staff are seeking input to aid in design of concepts that are most efficient and practical. The project is planned for this year.
City Manager Chad Bird said the information gathered during the sessions will be shared with the Council. A public hearing will be scheduled on the final plans and specifications for the project.
