Art of Time Ensemble was formed in 1998 by Andrew Burashko, with the goal of broadening audiences’ artistic experiences. Utilizing musicians, dancers, theatre performers and other prominent art figures, the ensemble performs concerts featuring various genres of music while incorporating other art forms.

Beginning with small, one-off concerts, the ensemble has grown to highlight top Canadian artists in the performing arts, film and literature, as well as international musicians, developing into an annual subscription season in Toronto and a tour that spans Canada and the United States.

The Songbook tour features Steven Page, one of the founders and former lead singer of Barenaked Ladies. Page helped form the band in 1988 and by the time he officially left the group in 2009, they had garnered six North American Gold and Platinum-certified albums and had twice been nominated for a Grammy Award.

Since his departure, Page has embarked on a solo career, scored music for five Stratford (Ontario) Shakespeare Festival productions and hosted a Discovery Network show “The Illegal Eater.”

In addition to Page, the Art of Time Ensemble includes Burashko, piano; Peter Lutek, woodwinds; Joseph Phillips, bass; Rob Piltch, guitar; Rachel Pomedli, cello; and Stephen Sitarski, violin.

“Art of Time is simply one of the most interesting, innovative, original and eclectic arts companies in North America. Andrew Burashko is a brilliant artist whose curiosity knows no bounds,” said David Ferry, a Canadian actor/director.
