The Northeast Iowa Peace and Justice Center (NEIPJC), in conjunction with area church congregations and organizations, is co-sponsoring "Community Conversation: Pride Flag and its Meaning" Tuesday, Dec. 3 and Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 5:30 p.m., at Impact Coffee in Decorah.

Impact Coffee's event space has been reserved for both Tuesdays, and those who wish to join the conversation can grab a cup of coffee or wine and come to one or both of the two, one-hour-long conversations.

Jimmy Hoke, religion professor at Luther, will facilitate a discussion of the Pride flag's meaning by looking at portions of the autobiography of Gilbert Baker (creator of the Pride flag), entitled Rainbow Warrior: My Life in Color. Dragonfly books has the book available for purchase and will order more, if they sell out. All interested persons are encouraged to come, even if they have not read the book.
