Vesterheim, the national Norwegian-American museum and heritage center, is changing things up for the New Year.
The museum is moving it’s free admission day from the first Thursday of the month to the second Saturday. On the second Saturday of each month in 2020, everyone will receive free admission.
On Second Saturdays, Vesterheim is also offering fun family-friendly activities at different times of the day.
The first Second Saturday is January 11. To celebrate winter and the recent release of the film “Frozen II,” there will be “Frozen”-inspired activities from 1-3 p.m. Dress up as your favorite “Frozen” character, make a snowflake ornament, and be sure to see Vesterheim’s limited-time display that connects the museum’s collection to the movie.
