The Decorah community is invited to participate in a documentary about Luther College graduate Chris Norton.
Fotolanthropy, a nonprofit organization dedicated to producing and distributing documentaries that celebrate hope, has selected Norton to be the subject of their next feature documentary film.

In his first semester at Luther, Norton fractured his C3-C4 vertebrae during a kickoff return of an October football game. From waking up the day after surgery not being able to move anything below his neck to four-and-a-half years later being able to walk across the stage on graduation day with assistance, Norton has depended on the idea that with faith, hard work and determination anything is possible.

Norton is co-author of the book "The Power of Faith When Tragedy Strikes" and makes a living as a motivational speaker.

Join the fun
From 2:30 - 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, the community is invited to attend the filming of "7 Yards: The Chris Norton Story," at Carlson Stadium, where there will be a special appearance and motivational message by Norton.
Fotolanthropy asks that attendees wear game-day attire and expect an afternoon of cheering with friends, direction from the film crew and a once-in-a-lifetime experience as the community comes together to reenact moments from the game that forever changed Chris Norton's life.
