The new Oneota Drive Bridge at “The Cut” is now open to traffic. City Engineer Jeremy Bril told the Decorah City Council last week the approaches will likely be rock until spring when the weather improves enough for contractors to pour concrete. Brennan Construction of Lansing was the contractor for the bridge that replaced on old iron bridge built in 1948. The city of Decorah had Department of Transportation funding that paid 80 percent of the cost of the project that totaled about $1 million. (Decorah Newspapers photos by Sarah Strandberg)
