The Ossian Crown Club and the city of Ossian’s first evening glow run/walk/dance is Friday, July 18.
The event will be the “kick off” fundraiser for the Ossian Educational and Performance Pavilion. The Pavilion will be a key piece of the proposed Carey's Park renovation project.

Glow run
Registration for this family event will begin at 7:30 at Carey's Park.
Registration will be accepted up until race time at 8:30 p.m.
A "glow run, walk and dance meal" will be part of the event.
The meal will include Ossian's famous "Chris Reilly" pork loin sandwich, beans, chips, dessert bar and a beverage for only $6. Proceeds from the meal will go towards the Pavilion. Carryouts will be available beginning at 5 p.m. through the beginning of the event. It is not necessary to be part of the event to come watch or purchase a meal.
Co-organizer Clark Goltz said the name describes the event’s format. Runners can walk or run or dance around the course. Families are encouraged to participate throughout the evening, as there will be pre- and post-race activities. The glow run is for all ages. The $25 registration fee is the same for all age participants.
Glow-in-the-dark accessories will be handed out to participants to “light” their way along the route. The entire route will be “aglow” with color, lights, live music, food and fun.
Registrations can be picked up and dropped off at Blooms on Main and Bushman Insurance & Real Estate. For questions, please contact Blooms on Main at 563-532-9535 or or Bushman Insurance & Real Estate at 563-5-32-9207 or
