Logan H. Blue, age 22, of rural West Union, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, at his home, as a result of a tragic accident.

Logan Henry, son of Charity (Langreck) Anfinson and Jeffrey Blue, was born November 23, 1997, at Palmer Lutheran Hospital in West Union. He was baptized and confirmed at Holy Name Catholic Church in West Union. Logan received his education in the North Fayette Schools and graduated from North Fayette Valley in 2016. Following high school, he worked a few jobs prior to becoming an over the road trucker with Siebrectht Trucking, his dream job. Logan enjoyed his jet ski, dirt bike, hunting, and his numerous vehicles he purchased over the years. He adored his two younger sisters, and would show that adoration by taking his sister Maya to Waucoma for many ice cream trips. Logan also was proud of being his youngest sister Macie’s Godfather. Logan was a friend to everyone, and would always be willing to help anyone in need. He had an infectious smile, was known to entertain people with his singing at gatherings, and was loved by all who knew him.

Logan is survived by his mother, Charity (Chad) Anfinson of Hawkeye; father, Jeffrey Blue of West Union; two sisters, Maya and Macie Anfinson of Hawkeye; grandparents, Kathy and Duane “Smokey” Langreck of Hawkeye and Donna and Jerry Blue of West Union; great-grandmother, Alma Ameling of Hawkeye; aunts and uncles, Nicole (Christian) Sampson of Hawkeye, GeriLynn Blue of West Union, Shelly (Keith) Curry of Davenport, and Chris (Bridget) Blue of West Union; several cousins, extended family, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Irvin Ameling, Anton and Anna Langreck, Mildred and Elmer Blue, and Ercyle and A. Kenneth Frey; and cousin, Marcus Curry
