Golfers representing courses from Cresco, South Winn, Silvercrest, Silver Springs, Oneota, New Hampton, Tri-City (Luana), Waukon and Jackson Heights came together for the 18th annual Northeast Iowa Team invitational tournament Friday, June 14, at South Winn Golf and Country Club in Calmar. Sumner did not participate this year and the event rotates host locations.

Individual scratch scores are maintained. The top six players scores count toward team scoring for each nine holes played. 

The top five individual scratch medalists were: Todd Smith representing Oneota with a 70, Ryan Rausch representing New Hampton with a 73, Scott Thomson of Creso with a 73, Todd Neal of Silvercrest with a 73 and Cresco’s John Thomson with a 74.

With 450, Oneota led the top team scores scratch over New Hampton’s 469, Tri-City’s 475 and Cresco’s 475. Jackson Heights reigned supreme in the team scores handicap with 438. Second went to Tri-City with 441, third went to Silvercrest with 443 and fourth to Oneota with 450.

Next year’s host is Silvercrest Golf and Country Club in Decorah.
