The American Rivers Conference has announced the fall sport members of its 2019 All-Academic Team. Luther College had 58 athletes named to the all-academic team, of which eight are Decorah High School graduates.

To be eligible for all-academic team honors a student-athlete must be on the eligibility list for the sport of nomination, at least a sophomore in academic standing with at least one year in residence and attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or better (on a 4.0 scale).

The fall sports and number of student-athletes for each team for Luther were football (3), men’s cross country (14), women’s cross country (12), men’s soccer (7), women’s soccer (12), women’s golf (3), women’s tennis (5) and volleyball (2).

Former Vikings receiving all-academic honors at Luther College were Anna Spencer (women’s tennis), Isabel Iverson (women’s soccer), Jake Muhlbauer (men’s soccer), Paul Strand (men’s soccer), Jarod Phillips (men’s cross country) and Trevor Phillips (men’s cross country). Competing at Loras and earning all-academic honors in women’s cross country were Shania Kelly and Morgan Minear.
