More than 500 racers in each division with teams from several states made for some stiff competition for the Decorah varsity cross country teams Saturday. The Vikings traveled into Minnesota to compete in the Griak Invite, hosted by the University of Minnesota.

Only varsity runners compete; however, schools are able to bring more than seven that typically run varsity.
