With contributions coming from the whole team either offensively or defensively, the Decorah girls’ basketball team picked up its second victory of the season over Mabel-Canton, 58-27, on the road Tuesday night.

“Overall, this was a positive learning experience,” said Coach Shannon Quandahl. “Maintaining discipline throughout the entire competition and understanding game management are areas in which we continue to strive for improvement.”

By halftime the Vikings had built a 30-13 lead and rolled on to an easy victory.

Bryar Duwe’s 14-point effort spearheaded the contest, while Emma Nierengarten dropped in 11. Also, in double digits was Amanda Kuehner with 10.

The Vikes are off until Tuesday, Dec. 3, when they travel to Spring Grove for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
