“Being our first meet of the year, it is always nice to get our first marks and times. I was really pleased with some of those times and distances,” said Coach Brian Schmitt. “I am happy where we are at from a training standpoint, as we have yet to get outside and on the track due to the weather.
“We have our starting marks for the season and now just need to improve on them as the year progresses in order to achieve some of our team and individual goals.”
For the boys, two events finished second. The distance medley relay took the silver in 4:13.96. Ryan Izer took an individual medal. He completed the 3,200-meter run in 10:44.75.
