Five members of the Decorah boys’ basketball team were recognized as being named all-conference. Seniors Matthew Franzen and Logan Halverson were named first team after receiving honorable mention nods a year ago, Junior Charles Robinson was selected as second team. Honorable mention nods went to seniors Patrick Bockman and Andrew Magner.

Franzen led the Vikings with 12.5 points per night. He hit 45.1 percent from the field and 75.0 percent from the free throw line. His team-high 288 season points, including 68 treys as the senior hit 41.5 percent from beyond the arc. He provided 56 assists, 21 steals and rejected 13 shots to go with 65 total rebounds (15 offensive, 50 defensive) during the 2019-2020 season.

A force under the basket, Halverson led Decorah in rebounding with 200 boards (127 defensive, 73 offensive), averaging 8.7 per game. He was second in scoring with 281 points for the season, averaging 12.2 points a night, capturing a 66.8 field goal percentage for his senior season. He handed out 53 assists and had 22 steals.

Third in scoring with 239 points, Robinson earns his inaugural all-NEIC nod on the second team. He averaged 10.4 points a night, hitting 42.8 percent from the field, tallying 239 points for the season. He also had 91 total rebounds (17 offensive, 74 defensive) to go with 35 assists, 17 steals and eight blocked shots.

Leading the Vikings with 72 assists, Bockman receives his second all-NEIC nod. Bockman averaged 7.7 points per game, with a 43.5 percent from the field. He also had 21 steals and 70 rebounds (20 offensive, 50 defensive).

Magner hauled in 130 total rebounds to finish second on the Viking squad, averaging 5.7 per game. The senior had 144 points for the season, posting a 52.3 field goal percentage, to go with 37 assists and 26 steals.
