The Decorah girls’ basketball team (0-13, 0-6 NEIC) continues to look for its elusive first win after entertaining Class 3A No. 13 Crestwood Tuesday night. The Vikes put up a good fight in the 44-21 loss.

Decorah fell behind 15-5 after the first eight minutes. The lead was stretched to 28-11 at halftime, with all of the Vikings’ points scored by Ambria Pipho. Crestwood’s scoring slowed in the second half, but still came out on top, 44-23, over the home team.

Pipho posted 15 points for the contest while Emma Nierengarten dropped in four. With two apiece were Abigail Milburn and Skyler Malone.

Decorah ends the week as host to Charles City Friday, Jan. 11, at 7:30 p.m. and enjoys a week of rest before traveling to Waverly-Shell Rock, Friday, Jan. 18.
