The Decorah volleyball team (11-14, 2-3 NEIC) saw some success on the court, including a NEIC win over Oelwein at home Thursday night and going 2-2 at the Western Dubuque tournament over the weekend.

Senior night

It was a fun night for the Lady Vikes Thursday as the team celebrated its seven senior players with a 3-0 conference win over Oelwein (0-28, 0-4 NEIC). Set scores were 25-14, 25-12 and 25-14.

“All seven seniors started and had great personal performances. It’s fun to watch them all play together, relax and have fun on the court,” said Coach Gina Holthaus. “I want to say a special thank you to these seven girls, you have done everything we’ve asked you to do, accepted your roles and stayed positive at all times. We can’t thank you enough.”

Senior Ambria Pipho recorded her 1,000 career assist late in the second set after she received a pass from libero Emma Johnson and set up for Brooke Berns for the kill.
