The Class A No. 10 South Winn football team (5-1, 3-0) took down Nashua-Plainfield (0-6, 0-3) Friday, Oct. 4, on the road, 42-6.

The Warriors added another win to its streak, which currently sits at four games, compiling 445 yards of offense as compared to the Huskie’s 159.

“Nashua Plainfield did a nice job of controlling the clock in the first half to limit our possessions.  I was pleased with how our defense played after the first quarter.  In the second half, we were able to pick up the pace offensively and come away with the win,” said Coach Jason Ohrt.

Going for it

The Warriors finished off their opening drive in the end zone when Zach Taylor busted his way through the Husky defense for a 40-yard dash. Nashua-Plainfield responded by marching the ball down the field to the goal line to even the score 6-6 before the first quarter expired. However, that would be the only time the Huskies found the end zone. A 35-yard pass from Jacob Herold to Cael Kuboushek in the second period gave South Winn a 12-6 advantage at the break.
