The Turkey Valley baseball team (0-9, 0-2 UIC) continues to seek its elusive first win, despite playing better in various aspects of the game at Waukon Wednesday night, falling 10-0, in six innings.

The Trojans allowed a solo homer in the first frame and kept the Indians off the board in the second. A six-run third inning by Waukon led to the Trojan demise.

“We are playing better as we pitched and played defense well enough to win,” said Coach Dan Stepan. “We are a work in progress at the plate, we will get there.”

Turkey Valley was afforded four hits by Simon Schmitt, Garrett Kurtenbach, Eli Nymeyer and Noah Hanson.

On the mound for TV were Elliott Dietzenbach and Kannon Leuenberger.

The Trojans were in action at MFL MarMac Monday and will visit South Winn Wednesday, June 12, in a junior varsity/varsity doubleheader beginning at 5:30 p.m.
