Two Warriors and one Trojan boys basketball players were recently honored by the Upper Iowa Conference coaches.

South Winn's Trevor Schweinefus and Eric Albertson, along with Turkey Valley's Riley Buchheit, were named all-conference. All three are being recognized for the first time in their careers.

Big production

Schweinefus was named first team all-conference. The junior led the team in points per game at 15.2. That total is good for fourth best in the conference. He hit 45.9 percent of his shots, along with 27.3 percent of his three-point attempts. He also led the team in rebounds per game at 6.9 and total rebounds at 138 (45 offensively and 93 defensively). He also added 37 asssits, 35 steals and five blocks.

Albertson earned an honorable mention nod. He posted 4.4 points per game, completing 30.2 percent of his shots. He pulled down 49 total rebounds, for a 2.5 per game average. In assists he led the team with 59 total, along with 25 steals.

Buchheit garnered honorable mention for the Trojans. He averaged 6.3 points per game, second best on the team. He shot 31.3 percent from the floor. Buchheit led the team in rebounds with 7.1 a game and 149 total (46 offensively and 103 defensively). He added 10 assists, 25 steals and 10 blocks.
