The Turkey Valley girls track team finally got on the track earlier this week, competing in their first two outdoor meets of the season.

Monday the Trojans competed at the Sumner-Fred Frostbite meet. The meet was cancelled following the 4x200 relay due to rain and hail.
At the time, the Trojans were in first with 83 points.
The Trojans had seven events place first. In the field events, Chloe Reicks was a two-time champion. She won the shot put with a throw of 32 feet, 8.75 inches and the discus with a best toss of 112 feet, 5.5 inches.
Johanna Blazek was the speediest racer, winning the 100-meter dash in 13.3 seconds. She also was the long jump champion by going 15 feet, 5 inches.
Shelby Reicks claimed the title in the 400-meter dash. The freshman had a time of 1:06.2.
The 4x800 started the meet strong. Sadie Nymeyer, S. Reicks, Stephanie Martin and Kirsten Huinker had a time of 10:51.1 to win the event.
Sarah Busta, Morgen Kuennen, Macie Njus and Kayla Schaufenbuel claimed the shuttle hurdle relay title in 1:26.94.
