It was a good week for the Turkey Valley softball team (7-6, 6-4 UIC) as the Trojans went 4-for-5, including winning the three to end the week.

Thursday the Trojans hosted Starmont (1-13, 0-10 UIC). In game one, the Trojans were victorious 10-1. The home team scored six times in the second inning to make a statement. The two squads exchanged runs in the fourth while TV put up three in the fifth.
TV pounded 10 hits in the game. Sarah Busta had two hits, including a double, with three RBI. Arianna Rausch and Allison Kuennen both had two hits with one double. Sara Fischer smashed a solo home run.
Fischer went all seven innings on the mound, giving up just five hits.
The Trojans earned a shutout in the second game, defeating Starmont 6-0. They put up three in the second inning and three in the fifth.
There were eight hits by the Trojans in the second game. Back from an injury, Johanna Blazek was 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored. Delaney Lensing had two hits and drove in two. Shelby Reicks produced a double and scored twice.
Ashley Kurash gave up six hits on the mound and struck out four.
