The Turkey Valley volleyball team (1-2) claimed its first win over Riceville (0-3) Tuesday at home. 

The Trojans came out strong, easily taking the match with set scores of 25-8, 25-6 and 25-7, with aggressive attacking and serving.

As a squad, TV had 21 kills on 56 attack attempts and produced 12 assists and 40 digs. From the service line, they went 68-for-73 with 18 aces.

Individually, Ali Hoffert served 26-for-26 with seven aces, dished out six assists and hammered out seven kills. Jaedyn Winter went 13-for-14 from the line with four aces and grabbed 10 digs. Addy Einwalter had a big night with 15 digs and went 8-for-9 in serving.

Breanna Busta added four kills and five digs, while going 5-for-5 at the line with a pair of ace serves. The senior also had one solo and one assisted block. Nailing down three kills was Rachelle Smith.

The Trojans host South Winn tonight (Thursday, Sept. 12) at 7:30 p.m. and will have a big tournament at Crestwood Saturday, Sept. 14, beginning at 9 a.m.
