   In a battle with the Go-Hawks, the Decorah boys bowling team finished the season 10-0, while the girls wrapped up a 4-6 season.
   The varsity boys team all bowled averages over 200 and as a team put up a score of 3,194 to Waverly-Shell Rock’s 2,923. Baker scores were 214, 177, 268, 197 and 172.
   “It was senior night and all six of the varsity guys bowled over their averages,” said Coach Keith Bruening. “I will truly miss these guys. What a great bunch of kids to be around every day.”
   Hitting 467 total pins (234, 233) for the evening, senior Michael Bruening led the Vikings to the win with Bryon Bruening bowled a 447 (245, 191). Dawson Holkesvik added a score of 426 (242, 184), while Tyler Vande Lune finished the night at 424 (242, 182) and Michael Cook had a 402 (182, 220). Steven Baldridge’s scores of 197 and 184 weren’t used in the final tally.
   Despite bowling their best score of the season the varsity girls fell to 4-6 by losing to the Go-Hawks 2,474 to 2,189. Baker scores were 175, 143, 139, 173 and 118.
   Competing for the Vikings were Maddy Putnam (156, 161), Kacie Henry (157, 158), Sierra Duncan (135, 156), Lexie Hauber (149, 110), Rachel Hines (134, 124) and Annika Lensch (121, 127)
   “We are coming into our own and improving every meet,” said Coach K. Bruening. “We will work hard the next 5-6 days as we get ready for districts and hope to surprise a lot of teams.”
   The individual conference meet will be held Saturday, Feb. 10, at Tripoli at 12 p.m. Decorah will host districts Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Oneota Lanes at 12 p.m.
