Three members of the Decorah volleyball team received all-Northeast Iowa Conference honors earlier this week.

Brooke Berns and Ambria Pipho were named to the second team, while junior Emma Johnson received honorable mention.

It’s Berns’ second honor on the all-NEIC second team list. The middle blocker is a senior who led the Vikings in kills with 156 in 90 sets, producing a .252 kill efficiency and 1.73 kills per set. A big presence at the net, Berns topped the block chart with 95 total stops (24 solo, 71 assists). She also provided 43 digs and in serving, the senior went 138-for-170, contributing 27 aces.

Earning her inaugural nod, Pipho, a senior setter for Decorah, handed out a team-high 356 assists and came up with 141 digs. As a versatile player, she was third on the team in kills with 113 and provided total blocks (7 solo, 48 assists). At the serving line, Pipho went 255-for-285 while leading the squad in ace serves with 39.

In her first time on the all-NEIC list, Johnson, the Vikings’ libero, came up with 360 digs. The junior posted a 95.7 percent serve efficiency, going 367-for-386 with 33 aces.
