With four Vikings notching double-digit scoring efforts, led the Decorah boys’ basketball team (8-10) to a 76-55 victory over MFL MarMac (7-13) Saturday night on the road.
It wasn’t even close as Decorah drained point-after-point to tear out to a 10-0 lead to start the game. The lead eventually stretched to 32-10 as the first period concluded. The Bulldogs scratched at the lead in the second quarter but the Vikings maintained a comfortable 40-21 advantage as the two squads went to the locker rooms. A 19-point third segment only added to Decorah’s lead, 59-38 and led to the 76-55 final.
Nick Bockman was on fire with 18 points for the Vikings. Knocking down 11 each were Patrick Bockman, Jonah Johnson and Jerod Redenius. Contributing seven was Logan Halverson while Austin Myli connected for six.
