Winneshiek Medical Center Auxiliary is again sponsoring the Red Smock Bowling League for the 2020-21 season.

The Red Smock Bowling League is a non-sanctioned league ideal for women bowlers of all abilities and ages (from novice to advanced).  Women are invited to join by forming a new team or coordinators will assign new bowlers to a current group. Women willing to be substitute bowlers are also needed.

Kristen Borseth, secretary of the Red Smock Bowling League, says, “We hope to form teams with ladies who are comfortable bowling this fall.  Some bowlers have expressed interest in returning in January, depending on the state of COVID-19 at that time.  We welcome all bowlers when they feel comfortable joining us.”

Bowling starts on Monday, Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. at Oneota Lanes in Decorah; however, bowlers are welcome to join anytime.  The season concludes in the spring.  Cost is $8 per bowler/week, with $6.50 for bowling fees and $1.50 to the WMC Auxiliary. Proceeds from all Auxiliary fund raisers benefit Winneshiek Medical Center by supporting program and equipment needs, as well as the Auxiliary Health Care Career Scholarship.

Come join the fun while helping to raise money for the local medical center.  Anyone interested in becoming a member of the league can call Kristen Borseth at 563-387-7716.
