The South Winn volleyball team (2-21, 0-4 UIC) has continued to make improvements in its game, forcing a fifth set versus Kee (3-16, 1-4 UIC), but falling 3-2. Set scores were 18-25, 25-19, 25-17, 15-25 and 13-15.

“This was a very exciting match and it was fun to see the girls play with such intensity. It’s always a heartbreaking loss when you lose so closely in the fifth set,” said Coach Glenna Munuswamy. “The girls have made major improvements from the previous week and continue to get stronger as the season progresses. Our freshmen setters really stepped up for us, having a good offensive night and putting on a show from the serving line.”
