Monday night the South Winn girls track team traveled to Hudson to compete against over 20 area teams.

Facing tough competition, the Warriors made the most of the heavy competition, tying for fourth place with 62 points. Benton Community won the meet with 97 points while Dike-New Hartford put up 67 and Janesville 66.

The Warriors had several events place high. Sophomore Brittany Shindelar did her lap around the track in 1:06.54, good for second place in the 400-meter dash. Shindelar later took fourth in the shot put, throwing a best of 33 feet, 4.5 inches.

The Warriors swept the silver medal in the individual hurdle events. Lexie Warth claimed second in the 100-meter hurdles in 16.62 seconds. Teammate Kennidee DeVilbiss just missed first in the 400-meter hurdles, taking second in 1:12.75.
