The South Winn wrestling team competed in a pair of non-conference duals and honored its senior wrestlers, managers and cheerleaders Tuesday night.

The Warriors fell to Class 1A No. 1 Don Bosco 74-0 and to Sumner-Fred 49-25.

In the dual with Sumner-Fred, the home team picked up five victories. Freshman Phillip French fought through the three periods for a 9-2 decision over Brady Wilkinson at 113 pounds to start the dual. At 152 pounds, Logan Schnuelle threw Treyce Ensign in 1:25 and Ethan Maldonado earned a 13-0 major decision victory over Cael Judisch at 106 pounds. Receiving forfeits were Zach Taylor (160) and Ethan Timp (285).

South Winn makes the short trip to the Decorah duals Saturday, Jan. 12, beginning at 9 a.m. and begins next week at Nashua-Plainfield in a double-dual meet versus Starmont and the host N-P Huskies Tuesday, Jan. 15, at 6 p.m.
